Figure Pieces

Figure Pieces

I wanted to share some of my figure drawings and works.  However, I wanted to keep it in a section that wasn’t my main art area, because I didn’t want it to be super visible for those that have young ones at home.  I personally see the human body as beautiful and celebrate it with my art.  I won’t hide nude drawings from my son, unless they are crude and meant not as true art.  That is what I believe.  But, I know that some may not feel the same way as I do about letting their children see a nude drawing.  Or, they just don’t like nude drawings and don’t want to see them themselves.  That is fine, everyone is entitled to their own opinion and that is why I have made a separate section for my nude and figure drawings.  Also, not every piece is full body, I will include my portrait pieces in this sections too.  I hope you will appreciate my works as much as I do.  Love your body and celebrate it often!!!

Modern Day Venus

I love Sandro Botticelli.  He was an amazing artist.  His romantic and whimsical style is mesmerizing.  I remember the first time I saw a print of “Birth of Venus” I was in awe.  That is one of the reasons I painted a sort of replica of his most famous painting...

Self Portrait Blue

This is the second self portrait I’ve ever done, but the first one using oil paints.  The first self portrait I painted was using acrylic medium years ago.  I do like to paint with acrylic, but I love oil more.  Being that this was my second self portrait I wanted to do something different with the coloring...
