Oh my! Pumpkin Pie Smoothie, yum! I love smoothies and when I make them taste like a dessert, I’m head over heels for them. Especially when they contain vegetables, and pumpkin is a great vegetable with numerous health benefits.
Pumpkins are great for our eyes, just half a cup of cooked pumpkin has 100% of your recommended daily intake of Vitamin A. The bright orange color of pumpkins comes from their high beta-carotene, which is an antioxidant that helps prevent cancer.
Another fun fact is that pumpkin has carotenoids. Carotenoids are a free radical-neutralizer, what does that mean? It means they help reduce inflammation and help prevent wrinkles. Pumpkins also have lots of potassium, which is super important for your body to function and regulate its electrolytes after a tough workout.
Combine all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth. Makes one serving. Enjoy!
