Eric

Eric

Many years ago, in my very first drawing class, not even my first figure drawing class.  Drawing 101, I had to draw a portrait of someone.  So, of course I chose my hubby, Eric.  I didn’t take me very long to draw this portrait, or I should more accurately say, I didn’t take my time as much as I should have.  But, I did feel pleased with the outcome of my work at the time.  Now, that I have taken a figure drawing class, only one so far.  I still can see where I went wrong with this piece.  However, I am happy with what I have learned from drawing this piece and glad that I can look bad at where I once was with portraits.  We all are new at things the first time we try, there is always room for improvement.  There is nothing wrong with learning from the past.  This is a charcoal drawing on high-quality paper.
