This is the final piece of my four painting series of Rory, the cutest french bulldog. For the fourth painting I wanted to use a wider variety of colors. I feel that by painting in an off the wall color palette it gives the piece(s) life in a unique way. Of, course Rory always gives so much character and life to each picture, even if I painted her in her natural colors she would still bring an overabundance of emotion to every piece. It is all too fitting to use the wild colors when painting a “Rory”, since she is anything but normal. This picture is the quintessential curious dog head tilt. I couldn’t resist not adding one of those to the series. To add a splash of uncertainty, I painted this piece to hang vertically and not horizontally like the other three. Gotta keep things fresh and interesting.
My first piecie of this series is my Blue-Green Rory, my second piece is my Purple Rory, my third piece is my Green-Pink Rory.
These paintings are small, but make a big impact with their unique colors and poses of Rory. They are great individually, but truly feel complete when together.
