I love me some oatmeal raisin cookies, however they have so much sugar that it counteracts the goodness of the raisins and oatmeal. So, like usual I made a healthy, protein filled alternative that is just as tasty and only takes a fraction of the time to make.
My Oatmeal Raisin Cookie Protein Bites are a delicious and nutritious snack, dessert or even a quick breakfast option, that you can eat on-the-go when you need something healthy to fill you up but not out.
One of the best things about these tasty treats, is that they only take about 5 minutes to make. They are gluten free, dairy free and have a fantastic vegan option for the protein powder. And, if you use sunflower seed butter instead of almond butter, then everyone can have them! Try them yourself, you’ll be glad you did.
Combine all wet ingredients, except the raisins in a small to medium bowl. Add in the dry ingredients and stir. Then, stir in the raisins. Scoop out spoonfuls and roll into 2 inch balls. Makes nine bites. Enjoy!
