To be honest I’m not a fan of traditional cheesecake, but I love my mom’s french cheesecake! It’s so fluffy and creamy and rich. However, it’s not very healthy for you. So, I thought why not make a smoothie version that is healthy. I did and boy am I glad I did, because, Yum!
My French Cheesecake Smoothie is much lower in calories than a slice of traditional cheesecake. Cheesecake has about 533 calories a slice, that’s over 100 more calories. Plus, the calories from my smoothie are a high quality calorie. A slice of cheesecake will also cost you 35 grams of fat, and not the good healthy kind either. It also has 45 grams of carbs, that’s about double the amount of carbs compared to my smoothie.
Another plus to my smoothie is that it has twice the protein and seven grams of fiber, while the cheesecake has only half a gram of fiber. That means, the cheesecake will fill you out but not fill you up. My French Cheesecake Smoothie will do the opposite, it will fill you up with the protein and fiber so that way you aren’t crashing an hour after and craving more sweets. So, if you are in the mood for some creamy cheesecake, whip up my French Cheesecake Smoothie instead of a slice of cheesecake.
Combine all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth. Makes one serving. Enjoy!
