Clean Your Produce Organically!

I love going to the farmer’s market and gettings bags full of fresh fruits, vegetables, nuts, honey and many other delicious items that are sold at the local farmers market.  As soon as we get home, and often before, Xander and I are bursting with anticipation for eating all these goodies.  But, first I must wash the produce.

This only takes a few minutes.  Just fill up a big bowl of water and add a few drops of Basic H2, which bubbles up.  Xander loves to watch the bubbles fill up the bowl.  Let the fruit and veggies soak a minute.  Then, rinse and let them air dry a few more minutes and voilà!  Yummy food for the taking.  I love my Basic H2 organic super cleaner, it has hundreds of uses and since it’s made from sustainably sourced corn and coconuts.  It literally is made from truly all natural ingredients.

I can breath easier knowing that the food I’m eating has been washed in organic natural cleaner not chemicals.  Because that’s the whole point to buying organic local produce, to avoid the toxins from the pesticides and herbicides.  Even though we end up getting a lot of fruit and vegetables from the farmers market, it never last the whole week.  When it’s local organic, fresh and tasty it’s hard not to wolf it don’t at the rate we do.  I mean, it’s not a bad thing that we do, in my opinion.  Food in it’s natural, whole state is so healthy and nutritious for the body.  I feel the more the better, especially the vegetables.  Xander tends to eat more of the fruit.

I’m very lucky that I live in California now, which means that I have access to farmer’s markets with fresh produce all year round.  Back in the midwest states, there technically there were farmer’s markets in the cold months, about once a month, but they didn’t have the yummy produce.  Which is what I think about in reference to farmer’s markets.  Do you go to farmer's markets and take advantage of the local deliciousness?
