Healthy Kids From the Inside Out Regimen!

Healthy Kids From the Inside Out Regimen!

This morning I went to give Xander his vitamins and accidently gave him one of my Alfalfa Complex pills.  The look of disgust on his face was priceless.  In all honesty I totally understood why.  He was expecting a yummy, sweet, citrus, orange flavored Vitamin C.  But, instead he got alfalfa.  I felt bad, but couldn’t help but laugh at his reaction.  That memory will be filed away under too cute and innocent.  In addition to his morning Vitamin C.  Xander loves his Incredivites.  But, his favorite is the Mighty Smart Chews.  We call all of these candy, which he thinks is awesome.  I mean what kid wouldn’t love to have “candy” first thing in the morning?

I love that these are sweetened without sugar and only have 100% natural ingredients.  No preservative, no artificial flavors, no artificial colors, no artificial anything.  Only nutritious vitamins and minerals.  With so many options on the market these days it’s hard to know what is safe.  I’m lucky to have found Shaklee.  They only use the highest quality ingredients and do an obsured amount of testing on each batch to make sure that the claims on the bottle are 100% true.  I don’t know any other company that does that.  I’m glad I’ve been giving Xander these supplements to greatly improve his immune system.  Now that he's in preschoo it's even more important for him to have a strong immune system to fight off germs.  I don't want him to be the kid that misses half of the school year from being sick.  That is why i give him the best vitamins and feed him healthy food.  Wouldn’t it be nice to have the super healthy kid that can fight off all the germs that are roaming around them on a daily basis?  It can be done with the right supplements, a healthy diet and an active lifestyle.  What do you do to keep your kids healthy?

I did a comparison of some popular children's vitamins and compared them to Shaklee's two children's vitamins, here is my findings...

I keep my little guy healthy and growing strong by giving him the BEST vitamins and supplements.  I’ve been giving him this daily regimen since he turned three years old.

4 Years Old and Up Regimen

3 to 4 Years Old Regimen

18 Months to 3 Years Regimen

When Xander was 18 months old, until his third birthday I gave him this regimen and he was always super healthy.

To make the Meal Replacement Shake

Combine the following ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth.

Xander’s two favorite flavor combinations were banana with chocolate shake mix and strawberries with vanilla shake mix.  He also liked watermelon with the vanilla shake mix.

One of the ways I got him excited about the smoothies, was having him help me make them.  I would pour the milk, crush the vitamins and add those in.  Then, he helped by adding the scoop of shake mix and adding in the fruit (he would often eat some of the fruit while making the shake too).

His favorite thing was pushing the buttons!

He loved these shakes so much that he couldn’t wait to drink these right out of the blender.  I would supervise like a hawk, of course.

Of course, vitamins and supplements are not the only thing that are needed to keep a child healthy.  Little ones need fruits and vegetables, lean protein (exp: hummus), healthy fats (exp: nuts and avocado) and water.  It’s also important to limit the sugar they get, by not giving them a lot of candies, ice cream and any processed food.  Plus, they need to be active and get plenty of rest.  I realize that everyone is busy and it can be hard to prepare and cook healthy, but the health of our children should be more important than anything else.  For time saving recipes that are healthy, check out my Healthy Recipes.  Another super important part of helping our children grow up healthy and strong, includes the products we clean out homes with.  I only use 100%-Natural organic cleaners in my home.  You can learn more about those in my Clean Your Home Quickly and 100% Natural posts!  Don’t be overwhelmed, I’m hear to help!  Just send me a message at jberinger.myshaklee@gmail.com.
