My Strawberry Fields Smoothie is bursting with deliciousness and a whopping amount of healthy nutrition.  Spinach is the best kind of greens to add to a smoothie, because it is very mild and blends in with any fruit.  It is extremely low in calories, only 10 per cup.  Crazy!  It’s also packed with vitamins and minerals.  Spinach is great for healthy bones, skin, hair and nails.  As a woman these benefits are important to me.  Spinach also aids with digestion, it reduces the chances of getting heart disease and cancer.  It also helps with controlling blood glucose, and if you recall from the cartoon Popeye it’s high in iron.  And, the list goes on and on.  To put it bluntly spinach is a superfood, everyone should eat it.

Strawberries are such a great fruit to add to smoothies, weather they are fresh or frozen.  They add a beautiful pink color and a fantastic sweetness.  They pair perfectly with spinach in a salad, so why not in a smoothie too?  The answer is, they work fantastically in a smoothie together.  So, well in fact that this smoothie is in my rotation multiple times a week.

Strawberries look so yummy and good, and they are also really good for you.  The top three health benefits of strawberries are helping improve the cardiovascular system, assist in controlling a steady blood sugar and greatly reduce the chances of numerous cancers.  Again, strawberries have many other health benefits too.
