I had a craving for a sundae the other day. A chocolate sundae with brownies. But, since I don’t eat dairy, and I’m a health conscious person, I decided to make a smoothie bowl sundae. It was all too easy, and oh so decadent and it hit the spot without making me feel bad about eating it all up. Because it was super healthy.
I had lots of protein, fiber, and nutrients. The first step to make the brownie bite smoothie bowl sundae was to make my brownie batter bites, which take only about 5 minutes to whip up. You can find the recipe by clicking the link. Then, it was just blending up a quick chocolate smoothie. I added ½ a banana to thicken it up and only ½ a cup of milk. But, you could add a whole cup of milk if you want or even swap yogurt for the banana, if you don’t want the slight taste of banana.
Then, it’s the fun part of adding toppings and eating it! YUM! What makes this brownie bite smoothie bowl sundae healthy is the high quality protein powder. Because, not all protein powders are created equal. And, not all taste good either. The key is to find a truly healthy one that tastes fantastic. Which I have, they are Shaklee Life Energizing Shake mix or for a 100% vegan option the Cocoa Energizing Soy Protein. Both taste delicious! Try them in my brownie bite smoothie bowl smoothie sundae for yourself.
Combine all ingredients in a blender except the brownie bites and blend until smooth. Pour into a tall glass or bowl, then add in the brownie bites and stir. Top with desired toppings. Makes one serving. Enjoy!
