These breakfast cookies are a great alternative to the same old oatmeal routine. They are so delicious and have a unique spice, which is great. Especially when you are in the mood for something different and exciting. These cookies are great anytime of day, but are perfect for a morning snack or breakfast, because of their metabolism revving ability. I love to eat these delicious cookies topped with greek yogurt and blueberries, yum!
The cayenne pepper in these cookies are what give them a fantastic bite Cayenne pepper has many health perks, it pumps up the bodies metabolism, while controlling blood pressure at a healthy level. It also helps prevent migraines, fights against allergens, and detoxes the body. The health benefits don’t stop there, the list goes on and on.
Cinnamon also has great health properties. It keeps blood glucose level, and it helps your body process fats properly, which in turn reduces your blood triglycerides. It slows down the stomach from emptying too quickly, that means you stay fuller longer. Cinnamon improves cognitive function, and we all could use more brain function. The power of cinnamon doesn’t stop there, if you need more perks check out the link at the bottom of the page. So, to wrap it up, these cookies aren’t just super delicious, they are super healthy for you too!
Combine oats, protein mix, flax & chia seeds, cinnamon and cayenne pepper in a small bowl. Add in the peanut butter and water and stir to combine ingredients (if you need to add more water to mixture only add ½ -1 tsp at a time). Heat a skillet on low heat with a little bit of oil. Separate cookie mixture into 3 patties and place on the skillet. Cook about 4 minutes until golden brown on one side and then flip. Cook for about another 2 minutes or until golden brown. Serve warm.
