Tart Cherries have so many health benefits, I thought why not add them to a dessert type smoothie. So, I made a delicious Cherry Cheesecake Smoothie. It’s easy to make, it’s super quick to make, it taste like dessert and it’s healthy. What more could you ask for?
Cherries help fight post workout soreness. Which makes this a great post workout snack or meal smoothie. Cherries also help you sleep better. They won’t make you sleepy, so don’t worry about drinking this smoothie in the morning. The way cherries help with sleep is by increasing the body’s melatonin, which helps your body get better quality sleep, once you do sleep.
The other benefits of cherries are helping with osteoarthritis by reducing the swelling and pain in the inflamed joints. They also help reduce the risk of stroke. Another exciting thing about cherries is that scientists are finding that cherries help cut down belly fat, and reduce inflammation in the blood that is associated with heart disease and diabetes. Of course, these benefits are great and the fantastic flavor of this smoothie is the “cherry” on top of this delicious smoothie.
Combine all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth. Makes one serving. Enjoy!
